Himachal Pradesh has earned special recognition at Deloitte’s flagship Government Summit, Arohana 2025, for its innovative digital governance initiative, the Him Parivar Project. The honour highlights the State’s forward-looking approach to technology-driven, citizen-centric governance.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Sh. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu participated in the summit and delivered the Plenary Leadership Lecture. In his address, he explained how Himachal Pradesh has effectively leveraged digital technologies to create a transparent, efficient, and future-ready governance ecosystem.
Describing Him Parivar as a game changer, the Chief Minister said the project integrates data across departments to ensure targeted delivery of welfare schemes, eliminate duplication, remove ineligible beneficiaries, and strengthen policy planning. He noted that the initiative has significantly improved efficiency, transparency, and financial discipline in the implementation of social welfare programmes.
The Chief Minister also highlighted other major digital initiatives, including HimAccess, the State’s single sign-on digital identity platform, and HimSeva, a unified portal providing hundreds of government services online. These initiatives aim to make governance simpler, faster, and more inclusive, especially for citizens living in remote and hilly regions.
Holding the Information Technology portfolio as well, Sh. Sukhu praised the Department of Digital Technology and Governance (DTG) for leading the State’s digital transformation. He commended the visionary guidance of Sh. Gokul Butail, Principal Advisor (DTG & Innovation) to the Chief Minister, and appreciated the efforts of Dr. Nipun Jindal, Director, DDTG, and his team for successfully implementing the State’s digital governance vision.
The recognition at Arohana 2025 reaffirms Himachal Pradesh’s leadership at the national level in using technology for inclusive governance and reflects its commitment to building a secure, transparent, and future-ready digital ecosystem.
