Chhatrdhari Chalda Mahasu Maharaj, a revered center of faith for thousands of devotees, has arrived in Devbhoomi Himachal from Uttarakhand after centuries. On Saturday, Maharaj entered Himachal from Dasau in Uttarakhand. At the Minass border, he was accorded a grand welcome by thousands of devotees, along with Industries Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan and Nahan MLA Ajay Solanki.

Maharaj reached Drabil around 3:30 a.m., where he rested at his Bagdi. On Sunday, after the afternoon rituals and prayers, Chhatrdhari Chalda Mahasu Maharaj departed from Drabil for Pashmi and is scheduled to arrive there around 3:00 a.m. He will remain seated in Pashmi for a period of one year.

According to age-old traditions, before Maharaj resides at any location, a symbolic sacrificial goat, representing Chalda Mahasu Maharaj, is sent ahead, and the next halt is decided only thereafter. During the COVID period, the symbolic goat reached Pashmi, following which preparations for Maharaj’s arrival began and a temple was also constructed there.

Saturday marked a historic moment as Chhatrdhari Chalda Mahasu Maharaj reached Himachal after centuries. Drabil was his first halt in the state, while Pashmi will be his second. Maharaj will stay in Pashmi for about one year, during which a large gathering of devotees has been witnessing and participating in the sacred procession. After one year, the next place of his stay will be decided according to divine tradition.
