Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that Himachal Pradesh has emerged as the country’s leading state in leveraging information technology to ensure accessible, transparent and time-bound public services, with government facilities now available online even in remote and tribal areas. Addressing the General House meeting of the Society for Promotion of IT and e-Governance in Himachal Pradesh (SITEG), he announced the integration of Artificial Intelligence with key platforms including the Him Parivar and Him Seva portals to improve service delivery. He said the AI-based document verification system will reduce manual workload, eliminate avoidable rejections and speed up disposal of revenue cases by providing instant feedback to applicants. The Chief Minister also launched the Asset Mapping Application, reviewed IT tools like Him Upasthiti and Him Access Portal, and directed mandatory employee registration and expansion of Lok Mitra Kendras. He emphasized that the gradual adoption of AI and blockchain technology will strengthen data security, transparency and citizen-centric governance, reaffirming the government’s commitment to building a smart, digital and future-ready Himachal Pradesh.
