CM attends 350th Shahidi Diwas event in Sri Anandpur Sahib
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu attended a religious ceremony in Sri Anandpur Sahib today to commemorate the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The Chief Minister offered prayers at the Gurudwara and paid tribute to the revered Guru.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji made the supreme sacrifice to uphold faith, humanity and truth. He noted that the Guru laid down his life not only for Sikhism but for safeguarding the religious rights of all communities. “Guru Tegh Bahadur’s fearless stand against oppression continues to inspire generations,” he said.
He further added that the Guru’s teachings encourage society to follow the principles of mutual respect, brotherhood and tolerance. The Chief Minister said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s life remains a guiding light in strengthening unity in diversity and upholding democratic values. “At a time when peace, harmony and social justice are deeply needed, the Guru’s legacy becomes even more meaningful,” he stated.
