Baddi, October 29.
District BJP Vice President Gurmail Choudhary and Mandal President Maan Singh Mehta accused MLA Ramkumar of failing to deliver on development promises in Doon and Baddi. Speaking at a press conference in Baddi’s Maurice Mall, they said that all development work has been stalled for three years, while the MLA only shares photos of patchwork on the NH to gain attention.

“No law and order, illegal mining everywhere”
Gurmail said law and order in Baddi-Barotiwala has collapsed and illegal mining is happening openly, even near the SP office. Locals trying to stop it are being threatened, he alleged, adding that such activities continue under political protection.

“Roads and cleanliness both ignored”
He said roads like Sai Road, Vardhman Chowk, and Barotiwala Road are in terrible shape despite promises to repair them after the monsoon. Only a few metres of patchwork have been done, he added.

Maan Singh Mehta said the city’s cleanliness and sewerage systems have completely failed. Garbage at Barotiwala’s Balyana area is unbearable, yet the MLA continues to make false claims of turning Doon into a model city.

Vote irregularities alleged
Both leaders also accused officials of favouring Congress workers in new voter registrations, claiming that BJP supporters’ applications are being unfairly rejected.
